Welcome Back to School!
My name is Ellen Andersen, and I am so excited to start this new adventure in 6th grade! We are all new to Butler this year and we are so lucky to have this beautiful new building. Math is my absolute favorite subject to teach! We will have a great year!
The best way to contact me is by e-mail. I check my e-mail frequently during the school week and I will get back you promptly.

This Week in Math Feb.
We will be taking the test on Integers and Coordinate Plane on Thursday March 13th. Next week we will be beginning a unit on Area, Surface Area and Polygons!
If you notice your student's grade on skyward has been changed from a 0 to a 1 do not be alarmed. This is my way of tracking assignments that are no longer being accepted. After the drop date, any assignment that has not been turned in will have the score changed from 0 to 1. This is so it no longer shows up as a missing assignment on my end or yours. This will help you know what can still be turned in or not. If it still shows as a zero, it can still be turned in for credit.
Homework for the week will be sent home in worksheet form on Tuesdays and is due the following Tuesday. Approximately 40 problems of homework will be sent out each week, the equivalent of about 10 per night. It is recommended that students do 10 problems a night correlating to the lesson taught in school that day. If the week is a short week, the number of problems will be adjusted accordingly. You can download the homework from the Cinnabears website on the Math assignments tab, if needed.
